Organise
Bring structure to anarchy
Lot’s of people enjoy writing lists and lists can be great, they have structure they give us an order and a process to work through, the downside is that lists aren’t very memorable, on top of this they can become dull and boring; the more you have the more cluttered your brain can start to feel. Mind maps enjoy the structure and organisation lists can bring with the freedom of being able to associate the information and get a feeling of the big picture. You can create connections between different items on your map. Ultimately with a Mind Map comes a clarity of information.
When it comes to organising and aggregating information there is nothing to top a Mind Map, especially online Mind Maps. One of the main topics I talk about in my presentations and seminars is the ability to use online Mind Maps to aggregate information whether it be on intranets or the internet within a business or in schools.
By doing this you can create a navigable visual interface which lets you find relevant information quickly. It’s right to say that some thought has to go into how things will associate together before hand, however once this is done as long as the software you are using is collaborative and everyone can edit it then keeping it up-to-date is a cinch.
The upside from all of this is that everyone knows where to find things, workers or students are kept across the latest information and ultimately it helps to streamline workflow.
